Twin Cities Dining Chain Axel's Credits Growth to Rewards Network Marketing Efforts.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Twin Cities based Axel's Family of Restaurants has successfully established two franchise chains and extended its presence across Minnesota, due in part to its five-year inclusion in the Rewards Network program. Rewards Network provides a wide range of marketing services to connect restaurants with diners Diners can mean:
  • Diners Club International, a credit card company
  • plural of "diner", see Diner (disambiguation)
, including websites, emails, printed mailings, and access to capital through the purchase of dining credits. "The services that come with our inclusion in the Rewards Network program have helped enable us to grow this business to where it is today," said Mike Gehlen, co-owner of Axel's River Grille. "The biggest benefit to us has been the marketing we've received -- it's of tremendous value in advertising our business."

As further testament to the successful relationship between Axel's and Rewards Network, Axel's River Grille in Mendota celebrates its 10-year anniversary this summer. Gehlen believes the member feedback surveys supplied by Rewards Network have been of particular help to this flagship Axel's location. "I believe our dedication to customer service is what has made us stand out in the Twin Cities market. This is meant to be a 'third place' location for our customers -- they have their homes, their offices, and Axel's."

"Having direct feedback helps us maintain that environment," said Gehlen. "They have great atmosphere and service. I'm already looking forward to my return visit!" said one Rewards Network member in a customer survey. "Axel's is a wonderful place. I would not have found it if it were not for Rewards Network," said a second member after a recent dining experience.

"Rewards Network works with thousands of restaurants throughout North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  spanning a wide variety of dining environments," said Ron Blake, Rewards Network President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "Axel's restaurants continue to be valued by our members, and we look forward to our continued relationship with them."
