Unlike most other devices that only capture video in compressed MPEG (Moving Pictures Experts Group) An ISO/ITU standard for compressing digital video. Pronounced "em-peg," it is the universal standard for digital terrestrial, cable and satellite TV, DVDs and digital video recorders (DVRs).  format, Video Advantage USB utilizes a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, allowing it to capture video in high-quality DV format or compressed MPEG formats, providing an impressively versatile solution that addresses virtually any video requirement. The USB plug-n-play interface makes installation quick and easy. A unique, low-power design eliminates bulky power adapters required with most other units, making it easy to carry in your laptop bag or to swap between multiple PCs.

The user-friendly package includes comprehensive video and audio production software suite for video capture, editing, authoring, format conversion and transfer to DVD. Programs include AD FullCap(TM) for capturing in AVI or DV formats, Cyberlink PowerDirector(TM) DE for capturing in MPEG format and authoring movies or photo slide shows, Cyberlink PowerProducer(TM) Express for transferring to DVD, SVCD See Video CD. , VCS, DV Tape or streaming video for the Web. To enhance the audio tracks in video productions, the package includes AudioSurgeon(TM) for recording and editing audio, and a comprehensive library of music and sound effects.
