Turning Center.

Mori Seiki has introduced the MT-250 turning center, combining the features of a lathe and machining center into one machine. The center's tool spindle provides flexibility by taking both turning and milling tools, decreasing material handling, simplifying work holding and improving accuracy between processes. The Y-axis provides a large stroke for off-center machining, a double-arm automatic tool changer and a magazine that holds up to 180 tools. Other features include a B--axis driven by a servomotor and a three-piece coupling, which provides maximum positioning accuracy. The center is designed with a single-block trapezoidal bed, which provides a low center of gravity, resulting in increased contouring precision. A highly rigid square slideway on the X-axis and a higher class roller bearing guide way for the Z- and Y-axis also are featured.
