Turkcell held a press conference at the Hotel Conrad today, August 31, 2006, to present the products and services it will introduce under the theme of "Connect to Life with Turkcell" at CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia 2006.

In her opening remarks at the press conference, Turkcell Corporate Communication Division Head Filiz Karagul Tuzun said they were glad to support the CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia, the region's largest trade show for information and telecommunication technologies, for the ninth time. Tuzun said, "CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia 2006 provides a unique ground for professionals wishing to develop their business relations and open up to different markets. It is also a very important platform for us as it provides us the chance to get together with our business partners and customers." Tuzun observed that CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia is growing bigger each year - a sign that the economic and technological power in the region is also growing, which is being acknowledged on a global scale.

Turkcell Chief Value-Added Services A value-added service (VAS) is a telecommunications industry term for non-core services or, in short, all services beyond standard voice calls and fax transmissions.  Executive Officer Cenk Serdar gave a presentation on the Turkcell products and services that will be introduced to visitors under the themes of "Baglan Internete" (connect to the Internet), "Baglan E-postana" (connect to your e-mail), "Baglan Isine" (connect to your job), "turkcell-im", "gnctrkcll" (young Turkcell), "3G" and "Gelecegin Dunyasi" (future world) throughout the CeBIT trade fair. "Our goal is to make life more enjoyable and convenient by developing products and services that offer ease of use, save time, and enrich people's lives in line with the needs and expectations of both our individual and corporate customers and to increase the competitive power and productivity of enterprises," he said.

Serdar noted that Turkcell aims to introduce the new technologies in mobile communications concurrently with the rest of the world. He stressed that as the leading GSM operator, Turkcell has been working to expand its value-added services market since its foundation. Serdar also introduced the mobile portal Turkcell-im that provides a single point of access to Turkcell's wide range of value-added services and content. Also demonstrated at the press conference were TurkcellMobilImza (mobile signature) and Visual Radio, both pioneering services in Turkey. TurkcellPDA, Turkey's first and only operator branded PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) A handheld computer for managing contacts, appointments and tasks. Applications that Change and Facilitate Everyday Life are at the Turkcell Booth at CeBIT 2006

At this year's fair, Turkcell will introduce new products and services specifically developed for professionals and businesses under the themes of "Baglan Internete" (connect to the Internet), "E-postalarina Baglan" (connect to your e-mail), and "Baglan Isine" (connect to your job), which are advanced services that will help busy professionals streamline daily business activities and save time.

TurkcellPDA, Turkey's first and only operator-branded PDA product, meets all communication and entertainment demands of the modern world and is awaiting visitors at the "Baglan Internete" (connect to the Internet) corner.

Turkcell's youth club "gnctrkcll" will also offer a variety of surprises and benefits to its members during the trade fair. In addition to learning about new mobile technologies, visitors to Turkcell's booth at CeBIT will also have the chance to enjoy special entertainment activities that will take place throughout the trade show.

Turkcell's mobile portal Turkcell-im, providing a single point of access to Turkcell's wide range of value-added services and content, will meet CeBIT visitors with more than 100 value-added services and 300,000 items of rich and powerful content. Making it easier than ever before for customers to access information on entertainment to news and sports, as well as music, chat and messaging, Turkcell-im's categories Bugun (Today), Eglence (Entertainment), Muzik (Music), Chat/Mesaj (Chat/Message), Spor (Sports) and Asistan (Assistant) will be available for trial, free of charge until 31 October.

Also waiting to meet users at the fair are the "Visual Radio" application that carries the FM radio on cell phones over into a visual and interactive environment for the first time in Turkey and a demo of "MobilImza" (mobile signature) that relieves users from the agony of standing in cues by securely bringing the electronic signature technology into mobile telephones.
