TurboLinux, Inc., the high-performance Linux company, today announced the launch of its nationwide Linux training courses geared toward Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPI). Starting in September, TurboLinux will partner with TeamLinux to offer a full range of Linux training courses in 12 cities across the nation. In conjunction with TurboLinux, IBM has agreed to be the exclusive hardware sponsor for all of the Linux training courses.

TurboLinux, in partnership with TeamLinux, is launching its education services program with three courses: Linux Fundamentals, Linux System Administration and Linux Network Administration. Linux Fundamentals lays the groundwork for understanding the Linux operating system operating system (OS)

TurboLinux certified instructors are also available for on-site custom training. TurboLinux classes will be taught on IBM Netfinity and workstation systems. The IBM platform provides smooth installations and strong peripheral support for the TurboLinux operating system.

In addition to the TurboLinux Linux classes being offered nationwide, TurboLinux is also offering the Linux Foundation (Linux Foundation, San Francisco, CA, www.linux-foundation.org) A membership association devoted to fostering the Linux operating system. Sponsored by major hardware and open source vendors, it was formed by merging the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) and Free Standards Group (FSG) in  Pack. This self-study course includes all three of the TurboLinux courses and can be administered at the individual's own pace. The package comes with the Linux certification study guide, instructional videos, a multimedia CD which runs natively on Linux and copies of the TurboLinux Workstation and Server products.
