Speech Application Language Tags (SALT) is an XML based markup language that is used in HTML and XHTML pages to add voice recognition capabilities to web based applications.

The CVR approach has potential benefits for applications that have many dialog variations, complex dialog requirements or applications that change frequently. The Microsoft Speech Server, the newest of the Windows Server See Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Home Server, Windows 2000 and Windows NT.  System family of products, is intended to be the most integrated, flexible and cost-effective speech platform available. It was designed to deliver lower total cost of ownership for large companies, as well as for midsized companies that previously could not afford a speech solution.
