TrueArc and Microsoft complete DoD 5015.2 cert for SharePoint Portal Server.

TrueArc announced recently that their integrated solution--SharePoint Portal Server and TrueArc's ForeMost Enterprise Version 3--has been tested and is now certified as being compliant with the new Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2 standard (STD) for electronic recordkeeping systems (ERS).

Records management functionality is seamlessly added to the SharePoint workspace during installation and configuration of the ForeMost Enterprise RecordsActivator for SharePoint. SharePoint users are able to search, view, and retrieve "official records" documents within the ForeMost Enterprise records repository directly within the SharePoint Digital Dashboard.

TrueArc was the first vendor to provide a DoD 5015.2 certified solution for SharePoint Portal Server last year and continues that tradition by certifying the SharePoint RecordsActivator with ForeMost Enterprise Version 3 against the recently revised DoD 5015.2 standard.
