True Religion Apparel Adds to Growing Design Team with Appointment of Senior Designer for Women's Sportswear.

LOS ANGELES -- Adding to its growing design talent, True Religion Apparel, Inc. (Nasdaq:TRLG) today announced the appointment of Caius Olowu as senior designer for the women's sportswear line. Olowu, a highly respected men's and women's sportswear designer, has worked for many of the international fashion industry's premium labels such as Hugo Boss, John Richmond, New Balance Japan, Diamond Geezer and Levi's Europe.

Olowu's high-end, urban casual fashion has appeared in mainstream fashion magazines, newspapers, industry journals and trade publications. In 2005, his 60s-style It Girl money dress earned national recognition when it featured in the British National Pictures, and the Merchant Taylor's Company of London also awarded Olowu the Golden Shears Award that year, recognizing him for standards of excellence in the craft skills of tailoring.

Most recently, Olowu served as senior womenswear designer for CMQ Japan, one of Japan's leading womenswear brands. Previously, he freelanced as a senior menswear designer for Island Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, where he was credited as designer for creating Island's first line of menswear with a 60-piece debut collection. Olowu also served as a freelance designer for such brands as Levi's Europe, John Richmond, Hugh for Hugo Boss, New Balance Japan, Refoma, Plush Management, Biba, Hommebody, Rachel Robarts and Fake London. Olowu's own womenswear collection is selling in its fourth year in the United Kingdom, Paris, Barcelona and Tokyo, which he debuted as an international guest designer at the BC Fashion Week in Vancouver in September 2006.

Olowu holds a bachelor of arts degree with honors in menswear development technology at the London College of Fashion. Olowu also was designer in residence at the London College of Fashion in 2005.
