Trooper Technologies Announces the Commencement of the Construction in Zabokliki, Poland; Project Management Contract.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1999--

Mr. Stan Lis, the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Trooper Technologies Inc. (VSE:TPP.), reports as follows:

COMMENCEMENT OF THE CONSTRUCTION IN ZABOKLIKI POLAND ----------------------------------------------------- The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that in accordance with its recent determination to build a 240 tonne/day rendering plant in Zabokliki (near Siedlce), Poland, using a non- competitive technology manufactured by the Danish company, K.E.A. ANDERSEN Montage A-S ("ANDERSEN"), the Company's subsidiary in Poland, International Eco-Waste Systems S.A.("IEWS"), has signed a contract with ATMA IMPEX Sp. z o.o. ("ATMA") for a construction of a gas line connection in Zabokliki. The scope of work covered by this contract with ATMA includes:

-- A 1,100m in long natural gas line reconstruction;

-- Construction of the 1,000 m3/h pressure reduction and

metering station; -- Construction of the data collection and transmission system; -- Installation of the reduced pressure connection; -- Installation of the explosion protection system, including

methane monitoring; -- Construction of the gag pressure regulating stations; and -- Installation of station piping systems.

Under the terms of the contract the gas pipeline is estimated to cost PLN 550,000 (CAD 205,000) and is expected to be completed by June 30,1999.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONTRACT ---------------------------- The Board of IEWS is also negotiating the final terms of a Project Management Contract with KORBUD Przedsiebiorstwo Budowlane ("KORBUD"), a Polish construction company based in Warsaw, Under the proposed terms KORBUD's function will be to prepare the design drawings and obtain permits for the 240 tonne/day rendering plant in Zabokliki, and in particular:

-- Building and architectural design of the plant; -- Plant process design; -- Electrical, mechanical and civil design of the plant; -- Environmental protection program; and -- Plant construction permitting based on completed design.

The work to be performed by KORBUD is estimated to cost PLN 956,000 (CAD 350,000), and it is expected that the plant design together with the final construction permit will be completed by mid July 1999.

The project design work under the proposed agreement with KORBUD is already in progress, i.e. KORBUD is proceeding with the design of the natural gas station. The design work will be conducted in close cooperation with ANDERSEN once the negotiations for the supply of the process technology and equipment are concluded. Bases on a well established relationship with ANDERSEN, the management of IEWS is quite confident that it will reach satisfactory terms of agreement next week and that the final project design work will commence immediately thereafter.
