Qtopia Product Family Grows

In June 2005, Trolltech launched a major new version of Qt(R), its popular cross-platform development software, which provides the foundation for the Qtopia 4 Series.

In January 2006, Trolltech launched Qtopia Core, the application platform for single-application products built on embedded Linux. Qtopia Core features the same API and toolkit as Qt providing a complete infrastructure for end-to-end development.

Qtopia inherits Qt 4's new technologies -- high-quality rendering engine, model/view architecture, template container classes and action-based main window architecture -- and improved features including text rendering and multi-threading. Qtopia 4 Series complements this growing family of products by adding the ability to use Linux easily across a wider range of devices.
