Trolls.* Book and lyrics by Bill Dyer * Music by Dick DeBenedictis * Directed by Pamela Hall * Actors Playhouse, New York City (open-ended run) Among the many gay-sitcom cliches crowbarred into Trolls 1. TROLL - An array language for continuous simulation, econometric modelling or statistical analysis. ["TROLL Reference Manual", D0062, Info Proc Services, MIT (1973-76)]. 2. troll - An electronic mail message, Usenet posting or other (electronic) communication which is intentionally incorrect, but not overtly controversial (compare flame bait), or the act of sending such a message. is the speech listing all the homos in history whose accomplishments should make us proud to be gay. Suffice it to say that the authors of this cringe-making musical will never make that list. A cross section of stereotypes gathers in a West Hollywood, Calif., living room to memorialize their saintly friend Boomie and to mull Mull, island, 351 sq mi (909 sq km), Argyll and Bute, NW Scotland, largest island of the Inner Hebrides, separated from the mainland by the Sound of Mull and the Firth of Lorn. The land is mountainous, rising from the deeply indented coast line to 3,169 ft (966 m) at Ben More. Mull has gardens and farms. Tobermory, a summer resort, is the chief town. Several medieval castles still stand. the question "Is life gay after 40?" But drinking, cruising, and dishing about movie stars is all these guys seem to do, even after death. Boomie (who shows up with glitter on his shoulders) mentions a heaven-side discussion about the guillotine with Marie Antoinette Marie Antoinette (ăntwənĕt`, äNtwänĕt`), 1755–93, queen of France, wife of King Louis XVI and daughter of Austrian Archduchess Maria Theresa and Holy Roman Emperor Francis I. She was married in 1770 to the dauphin, who became king in 1774., who tells him, "I'm not the first queen to lose her head over a basket." Pathetically directed by Pamela Hall, the cast includes several handsome men with good singing voices who deserve better than Trolls. |
