While Tristar Corporation failed to meet this requirement as of August 31, 1996, the Company on February 18, 1997 was granted a temporary exception from this standard subject to Tristar Corporation meeting certain conditions. The exception will expire expire /ex·pire/ (ek-spi´er) 1. to exhale. 2. to die. ex·pire v. 1. To breathe one's last breath; die. 2. To exhale. on February 28, 1997. In the event the Company is deemed to have met the terms of the exception, it shall continue to be listed on The Nasdaq SmallCap Market.
