Tripath Introduces First Trivici Based Amplifier for Flat-Panel Televisions; TAA2009 Industry's First Audiophile-Quality Single-Die Amplifier.

LAS VEGAS -- Tripath Technology Inc. (OTCBB OTCBB

See OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB).
:TRPH TRPH Total Recoverable Petroleum Hydrocarbons ), creators of Class-T(R) Advanced 1-bit Digital Amplifiers, is pleased to introduce the TAA TAA - Track Average Amplitude 2009. The TAA2009 is Tripath's first amplifier that integrates a Class-T controller, driver and output transistors all on the same die. Based on the Trivici architecture announced in September, this significant leap in integration allows Tripath to offer the TAA2009 at an attractive price to its customers, while providing the sound quality that Class-T is famous for. The TAA2009 is an amplifier that offers amazing value for the flat-panel television market and MP3 accessories like iPod Docking Stations.

"The TAA2009 further establishes Tripath as the leading provider of digital amplifiers for the rapidly growing flat panel market," said George Fang, Tripath's vice president of sales. "The TAA2009 offers the price and performance necessary to help increase our adoption in flat panels and consumer audio accessories as this volatile market continues to expand."

The TAA2009 is a stereo amplifier that can deliver a maximum of 12 watts per channel into 6 ohms. In standard applications it provides 2 x 9 watts into 8 ohms from a 12 volt power supply. Efficiency of 89 percent eliminates the need for costly external heat sinks. The TAA2009 doesn't skimp skimp

on sound quality, offering audiophile sound quality with THD+N THD+N Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise  less then 0.05 percent. The TAA2009 features a dynamic offset correction that emanates turn-on and turn-off pops. The superb sound quality will help HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates  and iPod Docks sound as good as they look.

The TAA2009 offers the smallest solution footprint available, with a filterless mode that eliminates the need for large components on the output lines. The entire solution can fit in less then 2 square inches. Other features that also contribute to the small footprint are:

--A small 7x7mm QFN QFN Quad Flat No-Lead
QFN Queen Fan Newsletter (rock band)
QFN Quad Flat No Leads
 package

--Internal gain settings

--No external heat sink required

--Minimal external components

The TAA2009 is available in a 32-pin QFN package, and retails for $2.65 in quantities of 1000. The reference design is available from Tripath's website with schematics, layout, and component lists for quick and easy implementation. Evaluation boards are also available through Tripath's distributors. For more information visit www.tripath.com.
