Tripath's TLD 4012 Line Driver chosen for Alcatel Shanghai Bell's 24-channel DSL line card.

Tripath Technology Inc. (Nasdaq:TRPH TRPH Total Recoverable Petroleum Hydrocarbons ), creators of Class-T(R) Advanced 1-bit Digital Amplifiers, announced today that Alcatel Shanghai Bell has chosen its TLD (Top Level Domain) The highest level domain category in the Internet domain naming system. There are two types: the generic top level domains (gTLDs) such as .com, .org, and .net, and the country codes, such as .ca, .uk and .jp. Broadband digital communications connection that operates over standard copper telephone wires. It requires a DSL modem, which splits transmissions into two frequency bands: the lower frequencies for voice (ordinary
 line card for use in its central office DSLAM (DSL Access Multiplexor) A central office (CO) device for ADSL service that intermixes voice traffic and DSL traffic onto a customer's DSL line. The TLD4012 is an ADSL line driver that provides the industry's lowest power consumption, low distortion as well as high through-put in a very small package due to Tripath's proprietary Digital Power Processing (DPP DPP - Dining Philosophers Problem (R)) Technology.

Tripath's DPP(R) technology is also broadly applicable in digital media consumer electronic products such as home theater systems, automotive in-dash audio units, personal computers, gaming, set-top boxes, receivers and mini/micro component systems.
