Trinity Real Estate wins BOMA award.

Trinity Real Estate, one of New York City's premier owners, has been recognized for its continued commitment and investment to Manhattan's Midtown South district as One Hudson Square is honored with the BOMA-NY, BOMA-Mid-Atlantic Regional and BOMA-International awards for "Renovated Building of the Year."

The property underwent a tremendous and unprecedented multi-million dollar renovation and reconfiguration project, making it one of the most sought after addresses in New York City. First nominated by BOMA-NY, One Hudson Square continued to outshine other renovated Class A office properties to claim all three titles-and become the first NY-based property to ever win the BOMA-International award in this category.

One Hudson Square, originally a 1 million-SF light manufacturing structure located on Canal Street in Manhattan, underwent the multi-million dollar capital improvement project to convert the property to a Class A office building while emphasizing its original architectural glory. Rosen Johnson Architects headed up the renovation campaign, creating lass A office space in perfect harmony with the historic framework of Ely Jacques Kahn's original design. Among the key elements in the building's transformation are the grand new entrance and restoration of the facade to its original Art Deco design. In addition to enhancing the current building, planned construction of additional floors will create a new glass-enclosed triplex penthouse offering panoramic views of the city.

BOMA, the association of building owners and managers, honors the buildings its represents through its annual "Office Building of the Year" Awards. The comprehensive program recognizes the quality in office buildings and awards excellence to its owners and management. The credentials for the "Renovated Building of the Year" Award included a 15-year old building that maintained occupancy throughout the capital improvement project.

Renovation can encompass: Rehabilitation of the property to satisfactory condition without changing the original plan of the structure, or modernization by bringing corrective measures to the style or form of the structure.
