First up is the Dave Matthews Tribute Band tonight at Diablo's, part of the club's larger tribute weekend. Unfortunately for Sublime fans, Diablo's has an expanded notion of the weekend, so you may have missed the Unauthorized Sublime tribute band that played Thursday.

The DMTB DMTB Deployment Mobilization Troop Basis , based out of Chattanooga, Tenn., is the only nationally touring tribute to the original band, a news bio says. And it's the only copycat act in town this week where the original lead man for the inspirational act is still alive and actively touring.

Today's show starts at 10 p.m. for a $10 cover. Diablo's/Downtown Lounge is at 959 Pearl St.

On Saturday, KRVM-FM's "Short Strange Trip" hosts a Grateful Dead-themed party for its listeners. "Live From WOW Hall" will be broadcast live with performances by Jupiter Hollow and Woodknot.

The orchestra strikes up at 8 p.m. Sunday, once again at the McDonald, 1010 Willamette St. Tickets are $20 in advance or $23 at the door.

Finally, and also Sunday, local performer Brook Adams, who you may know as the leader of the acoustic string band the Swingin' Marmalukeys, will play the entire "Abbey Road" album by the Beatles - on the ukulele ukulele (ykəlā`lē), Hawaiian musical instrument developed from the Portuguese guitar. It has a fretted fingerboard and four strings that are plucked or strummed. .

"This is a one-man show where I sing and play the famous Beatles album start to finish with all the solos and orchestral parts on a ukulele," Adams says in an e-mail.

Adams performed a couple of songs at the George Harrison tribute last month at Cozmic Pizza.

He has done the whole album in front of audiences around the area, although never in Eugene.

The free 4 p.m. show is at Tsunami Books, 2585 Willamette St.
