Tribeca's gay harvest: the New York City film festival, April 25-May 7, covers the queer waterfront from sexy boys to drag divas to 9/11.Actor-playwright Charles Busch (Die, Mommie, Die!) sure knows how to wear a wig. So he decided to try out a new hat--that of a feature film director--with his latest project, A Very Serious Person. Allan Brocka's Boy Culture involves a sexy young hustler who begins to comprehend love thanks to an elderly client. Todd Stephens's Another Gay Movie (pictured) gays up the American Pie-style raunchy raun·chy adj. raun·chi·er, raun·chi·est Slang 1. a. Obscene, lewd, or vulgar: "[He] teen sex comedy with a cast that includes Scott Thompson and Graham Norton. And Ash Christian's Fat Girls follows the antics of a teenage homo and his zaftig gal pal. Katherine Linton's Follow My Voice: With the Music of Hedwig profiles LGBT LGBT Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender students at New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of City's Harvey Milk School and the making of an all-star Hedwig and the Angry Inch tribute-benefit album. But the most locally relevant and poignant work debuting at Tribeca this year is surely Saint of 9/11, director Glenn Holsten's documentary about openly gay New York City Fire Department The New York City Fire Department or the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) has the responsibility for protecting the citizens and property of New York City's five boroughs from fires and fire hazards, providing emergency medical services, technical rescue as well as chaplain Mychal Judge, who perished during the 9/11 tragedy. |
