CALGARY, Alberta -- Triangle Petroleum Corporation (the "Company") (OTCBB OTCBB

:TPLM TPLM Tactical Petroleum Laboratory Medium ) is pleased to announce the following key additions to its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, Elmworth Energy Corporation ("Elmworth").

Elmworth has put in place the geo-science team that will be focusing on the Deep Basin projects in the Grande Prairie region of northwest Alberta. Macomb Jervey and Clarence Campbell will be providing the geological guidance to the projects that are being pursued by the company. Art Bowman will work closely with the experienced geological team and provide geophysical analysis and interpretations on company projects, including the initial acquisition of seismic data (see June 28, 2005 press release).

The Elmworth Geo-Science team represents a significant depth of experience coupled with a demonstrated track record of finding and developing commercial hydrocarbons.

Macomb T. Jervey

 in 1963. Dr. Jervey began his geological career in New Orleans with Shell Oil Company and worked for the company until 1969. Upon receiving a PhD in geology from Louisiana State University Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, generally known as Louisiana State University or LSU, is a public, coeducational university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the main campus of the Louisiana State University System.  in 1974, Dr. Jervey accepted a position at Exxon Production Research Company in Houston, Texas.

 facies analysis for Exxon affiliates worldwide including extended experience in the Jurassic of the North Sea. While at Exxon, he initiated a research project aimed at clarifying the geological implications of seismic stratigraphy. This work led to the development of a numerical model and the geological concepts that form the foundation of Sequence Stratigraphy.

In 1979, Dr. Jervey moved to Calgary, Canada to take a position with Esso Resources Canada Ltd. At Esso Resources, he undertook a number of regional stratigraphic studies in support of ongoing Cretaceous and Jurassic exploration efforts and supervised the Geological Research Department for several years until 1983.

In 1983, Dr. Jervey accepted a position with Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd. to conduct regional stratigraphic studies in the Alberta Deep Basin in support of Cretaceous gas exploration and development efforts. In 1984, he was promoted to Exploration Manager and then to Exploration Vice-President. In that capacity, Dr. Jervey was responsible for planning and implementing oil and gas exploration in Canada with a staff of eighty-five people and an annual budget of $60 million. Under Dr. Jervey's direction at Canadian Hunter, significant large discoveries were made including Ring Border, Brassey, Sundance/Noel and a number of fields in Alberta which in total exceed 1 TCF See Trenton Computer Festival.  equivalent.

In 1990, Dr. Jervey moved to Mosier, Oregon and began a geological consultancy primarily focused on providing stratigraphic and exploration expertise to the Canadian oil and gas industry. Since 1990, Dr. Jervey has completed 75 proprietary geological studies in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia for Canadian clients.

Clarence Campbell

Clarence Campbell is a carbonate and siliciclastic Siliciclastic rocks are clastic noncarbonate sedimentary rocks that are almost exclusively silica-bearing, either as forms of quartz or other silicate minerals.  sedimentologist and stratigrapher who has worked extensively domestically and internationally on numerous projects involving carbonates, evaporites and siliciclastic sequences. From 1982 to 1986, Mr. Campbell was president of RPI RPI - Rockwell Protocol Interface  Canada Ltd., a geologic and environmental consulting group based in Canada and the United States The United States and Canada share a unique legal relationship. U.S. law looks northward with a mixture of optimism and cooperation, viewing Canada as an integral part of U.S. economic and environmental policy. . Mr. Campbell was employed for five years with RPI Canada Ltd. where he was President, project manager and geologist. Formerly, Mr. Campbell was project manager/geologist with RPI Colorado (1981-1983) and project geologist with RPI Columbia (1981).

While with Capstan, Mr. Campbell worked on projects involving international areas, offshore Eastern Canada, Western Canada and most recently the onshore Mississippian carbonate, evaporite and siliciclastic sequences of the Maritime provinces. During this period Mr. Campbell also co-taught modern carbonate field courses in the Bahamas and Belize as well as courses on siliciclastic sedimentation.

Since rejoining SCG in 2002, Mr. Campbell has been involved in projects on carbonate-evaporite sequences in the Middle East as well as carbonate-evaporite and siliciclastic sequences in Western and Eastern Canada. In addition, Mr. Campbell continues to teach modern carbonate field courses in the Bahamas and Belize. Mr. Campbell's practical, hands on experience in Western Canada is a strong asset when applied to integrated geological and geophysical exploration and development projects.

Arthur E. Bowman

Mr. Bowman received a BSc. from University of Toronto Research at the University of Toronto has been responsible for the world's first electronic heart pacemaker, artificial larynx, single-lung transplant, nerve transplant, artificial pancreas, chemical laser, G-suit, the first practical electron microscope, the first cloning of T-cells,  in 1977 and began his geophysical career in Calgary with Chevron Canada Resources Ltd. At Chevron, Mr. Bowman worked as an interpreter on various projects in Alberta and North Eastern British Columbia. In 1984, he transferred within Chevron, to the Caltex Pacific-Indonesia unit to interpret structural plays in Sumatra. Responsibilities to the Caltex Pacific group included geophysical interpretations for both exploration and development programs.

After returning to Calgary in 1988, Mr. Bowman was the Geophysical Supervisor of the Development Group at Chevron. In 1991, he was promoted to Frontier Division Geophysicist, and in 1992, was promoted to Exploration Supervisor of the Peace River District. In 1993, Mr. Bowman was reassigned to Caltex Pacific Indonesia on a 5-month project which included a geophysical and geological evaluation of a key exploration block. In 1994, Mr. Bowman returned to Calgary as Exploration Supervisor of the Northern Alberta Business Unit.

From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Bowman worked for Archer Resources. The key focus of this initiative was to develop a higher reserve "West Five" exploration portfolio for a historical "West Four" producer. In this assignment he worked as both interpreter and exploration manager, to help create a successful company which was later acquired by Dominion Energy Canada Ltd.

Mr. Bowman was a founder of Defiant Energy Corp. The company commenced operations in 1998 and established production of 3,500 BOEPD BOEPD Barrels of Oil Equivalent Per Day  until the company was sold to Advantage Energy Trust in 2004. Mr. Bowman acted as geophysicist, geologist and Vice-President of Exploration.

In 2005, Mr. Bowman formed a geophysical consulting practice, focusing on the Western Canadian Basin. The consulting practice will build on Mr. Bowman's results oriented exploration experience in delivering reserves with financially attractive finding and development costs. In addition to being a professional geophysicist, Mr. Bowman is a member of APEGGA APEGGA Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta  and the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (or SEG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the science of geophysics and the education of exploration geophysicists. .
