The agreement is for the evaluation and full scale commercialization of Triad's proprietary Thruster Desalinization System; and includes a substantial royalty fee based on usage that is estimated to surpass $10,000,000 over the term of the contract. This is believed to be the first non-membrane and non-distillation process to be used for the commercial desalting of both seawater and brackish brack·ish

. The agreement allows for the Beta testing at a secure undisclosed location in the Caribbean to verify the energy cost savings, separation quality and the mechanical integrity of the system under harsh tropical conditions. Once the testing is satisfactorily completed, Triad will begin the manufacture of the Thruster System for AquaVenture's placement at sites throughout the Caribbean and the state of Florida.

The Thruster System is a stationary separator developed by Triad Inventor, Michael R. Bloom, which utilizes an aerodynamic expansion of the salt water through a developed centrifugal field to yield a high recovery rate of potable water in one stream, and a separate stream of concentrated salt brine in the other. Due to its lack of complicated moving parts, the Thruster Separator is able to provide high quality separation with extremely low energy costs, all in a module system that is simplistic sim·plism

System to the marketplace. We believe that the Thruster System will be an integral part of supplying water in the 21st Century. I expect this to be just the first in a series of agreements that bring our unique separation technology into several industries."

The centrifuge has the ability to separate gases or liquids down to purity grade levels without using chemicals, thermals or high-energy input. The result is low energy input and very high purity gain, with applications in the, ethanol, gas, pharmaceutical, and water industries. The compressor employs an innovative design to achieve dramatically increased efficiency and reliability over conventional compressors.
