Tri-C and NASA Glenn Research Center sponsor event showcasing next practices in knowledge management.


The KM Cluster, a global knowledge management (KM) thought leadership group, will hold its Cleveland area kickoff event on Friday, April 2, at the NASA NASA: see National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

 Glenn Research Center The Glenn Research Center (more correctly, the NASA John H. Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field) is a NASA center, located in Cleveland, Ohio between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and the Rocky River Reservation (part of the Cleveland Metroparks). . The event is sponsored by Cuyahoga Community College and the NASA Glenn Research Center and is titled Communities: Next Practices.

Communities: Next Practices feature presentations by leading national experts in the knowledge management field such as Kathy Valderrama, CKM CKM Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (quark mixing matrix)

It will closely examine "communities of practice" in organizations. Communities of practice are networks of people within, and sometimes outside of an organization, that come together around a particular topic to collaborate, innovate, address challenges, share what they know, and create new knowledge and information related to that topic.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The fee to attend is $49 and includes access for one year to the organization's online collaboration site and lunch that day.

The Cleveland KM Cluster (www.kmcluster.com/cle) is a professional, academic and business community of practice focused on knowledge management and enterprise collaboration in the Greater Cleveland Greater Cleveland is a nickname for the metropolitan area surrounding Cleveland in Ohio.

Northeast Ohio refers to a similar but substantially larger area as described below.
