Trends Publishing starts mag for metals category.


Trends Publishing, Inc. (Chicago, IL), a company headed by trade magazine publishing veteran William D'Alexander and the producer of Modern Metals magazine, has begun the publication of FFJournal, "the magazine for today's fabricating & forming technology," with a May issue. It will be published six times a year with an initial controlled circulation of 43,000 fabricators, OEMs and related professionals in the machinery, electric/electronics, transportation, instruments and related manufacturing industries manufacturing industries nplindustrias fpl manufactureras

The company said that editorial will focus on the latest developments in "areas critical to the future of fabricating and forming," including innovations in product development, operations and production. It will also cover such topics as cost effectiveness, purchasing, laser and plasma technologies, lean manufacturing Lean manufacturing is the production of goods using less of everything compared to mass production: less human effort, less manufacturing space, less investment in tools, and less engineering time to develop a new product.  and software. Each issue also carries an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it.
