Trend Micro Announces First E-Mail Virus Protection For HP-UX; Also Scans Web and FTP Traffic.CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 1996--Trend Micro Incorporated, a leader in server-based virus protection, today announced it has ported its InterScan VirusWall virus protection software to Hewlett Packard Company's enterprise-class UNIX operating system Noun 1. The system administrator may also restrict scanning by file types. Trend Micro pioneered server-based Intranet virus protection with the release last spring of InterScan VirusWall for Solaris and Windows NT, featuring technology that has since been licensed to Netscape Communications Corp., Sun Microsystems and e-mail vendors to protect their customers from Internet-borne viruses.
