Treminco Resources Ltd. reports significant copper oxide deposit on El Magistral Property, Sinaloa State, Mexico.

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 1995--Treminco (TSE:TMO) Sample results from four recently completed trenches have confirmed the presence of a significant porphyry copper deposit on the El Magistral Property.

The trenching, carried out within a 400 x 1000 foot area indicates wide spread copper oxide mineralization. The limits of mineralization have not been defined in any direction.

Trench assay results are as follows:

Individual trench samples were subsequently composited by trench, and submitted to a second lab, which verified the original results, and demonstrated that the copper is over 98% soluble in an acid solution.

Dr. R. Seraphim, Treminco's consulting geologist for the El Magistral Project, reports that within the trenches sampled, the copper appears mainly as a black copper oxide (tenorite).

One thousand feet to the south, and 300 feet below the upper trenched area copper is present in a breccia pipe as a sulfide, with silver, cobalt and minor gold values.

Dr. Seraphim has recommended a two stage work programme totalling $250,000 U.S. involving further trenching, geological studies, and percussion and diamond drilling. This programme will commence immediately.
