Travelers Offers Employers Web-Based Risk Management.

Travelers Bond, a unit of Travelers Insurance, is offering Risk Management PLUS+ Online, a comprehensive program, delivered via the Internet, for managing employment-related risk.

Risk Management PLUS+ Online is the next generation of risk-management services developed exclusively for Travelers by the Agos Group LLC. Delivered via a Web-based platform, Risk Management PLUS+ Online provides employers with a comprehensive set of tools to reduce exposure to employment suits and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Delivery of risk-management services over the Internet overcomes many of the limitations that have caused traditional risk-management tools to be underused. Written materials can quickly become outdated, and audits merely offer a snapshot of what is going on at a particular time," said Carrie Brodzinski, product manager for employment practices liability at Travelers Bond. "Today's conventional wisdom can easily become obsolete in light of tomorrow's court decisions. Traditional risk-management tools just aren't flexible enough or fast enough to keep up." Material delivered over the Web can be updated quickly if new legislation or a Supreme Court decision impacts content.

Risk Management PLUS+ Online provides Travelers insureds with an array of Web-based training in a variety of formats. The program offers interactive sexual-harassment training, which includes tracking of employee training and the particular content of that training. This capability may help employers avoid claims as well as aid them in establishing defenses if a claim does arise.

Other available online instruction includes training on the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, discrimination, hiring practices and workplace violence as well as weekly training bulletins and a self-audit feature.
