TravelCenters of America Offers Customers Chance to Win $5,000.

WESTLAKE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 2004

While some companies pay lip service to customer satisfaction, TravelCenters of America (TA) is putting its money where its mouth is. Customers who provide feedback about their experience with TA are eligible to win $5,000 in the TravelCenters of America Sweepstakes.

"Our mission is to take care of all highway travelers in the finest full-service facilities on the road, and we need customer feedback to do that," said Tom Liutkus, TA director of advertising and public relations. "The TA Sweepstakes is one way of encouraging our customers to tell us how we're doing."

TA invites customers' comments about its full-service and fast-food restaurants, travel stores, shops, RoadKing Club loyalty program for professional drivers or any other aspect of their experience. Customers can enter the sweepstakes by obtaining a six-digit survey code from a TA location and completing a survey at www.tacares.com or by calling 1-888-982-5528.

One name will be drawn from among all entries received through December 29, 2004. Sweepstakes details and other information are available at all TA locations.

The winners of last year's TA Sweepstakes were Bradford Fine, Jr., of Dolan Springs, Arizona, and Joseph Hunt, Sr., of Buchanan, Georgia, who were among the more than 20,000 customers who provided feedback in 2003 through www.tacares.com or IVR (Interactive Voice Response) feedback program.

The TravelCenters of America Sweepstakes is a result of a partnership between TA and Tell Us About Us Inc., of Winnipeg, Manitoba, to efficiently gauge customer satisfaction. The Canadian affiliate offers TA an integrated customer feedback system that combines live operator toll-free customer call-in services, the Web and IVR technology to manage customer feedback. In turn, TA employees can easily access Tell Us About Us Inc.'s databases and find out everything from the quality of restaurant service at a particular TA location to overall customer satisfaction. The effective, customer-oriented Tell Us About Us system was implemented by TA in January 2003.
