Travel firm stays put.


Liberty Travel, a travel agency with over 200 locations along the east coast and Florida, has renewed the lease on their 2,000 square foot space at 499 Seventh Avenue in the Garment District The Garment District is a store in Cambridge, MA and is well known for its Dollar-A-Pound clothing store. The Garment District started out as an offshoot of Harbor Textiles, a textile company which produced wiping cloths for industry that began in the late 1940s. .

The space, which has windows on both streets, is on the corner of 37th Street and is only a few steps away from the city's major transportation and tourist sites.

 Mike Heaner and Grant Greenspan of the Kaufman Organization, who represented both the landlord and tenant in the deal, Liberty Travel has renewed their lease for an additional five years.

Although the terms of the lease are undisclosed, the asking price for the space was $250 per square foot.

"Liberty Travel enjoys having a space where new and already existing customers can easily locate them," said Heaner.

"They're a great tenant and we look forward to the next five years."
