EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

TRAVEL Store Inc. returned to the top of the travel agencies list with $185 million in L.A. County revenues, just $4 million more than Altour. No. 3 Montrose Montrose, town (1991 pop. 12,127), Angus, NE Scotland, on the North Sea at the mouth of the South Esk River. Open to water on three sides, it is a spacious resort town, with flax and jute mills, boat yards, fruit canneries, and a fishing industry.  Travel Store is the only other firm to gross more than $100 million locally in 2005.

Nearly every firm on the list reported increased revenues for the second consecutive year as the travel industry continued its resurgence re·sur·gence

TRAVEL Store Inc. returned to the top of the list of travel agencies. The L.A.-based firm reported $185 million in 2005 L.A. County revenues, up $40 million or 28 percent compared with the previous year.
