Bolivia to require Americans to have visas starting Dec. 1. As a "matter of reciprocity," the Bolivian government says it will begin requiring U.S. citizens to have visas to enter the country. Americans will fall into the country's most-regulated migratory category, which requires a $134, 30-day tourist visa. "We are working to not hurt the flow of foreign tourists," a Bolivian official said, adding that Americans "will be able to obtain a visa at the point of entry, either on the border or right there in the airport." AirCell, Virgin America

AirCell entered into an agreement with Virgin America to provide broadband Internet service to passengers aboard the startup's Airbus A319s and A320s. Passengers will be able to access the Internet using either Virgin America's "Red" IFE Ife (ē`fā), city (1991 est. pop. 262,000), SW Nigeria. Located in a farm region, the city is an important center for marketing and shipping cacao. According to tradition, Ife is the oldest Yoruba town (founded c.1300).  system or their own Wi-Fi-enabled laptops or other portable systems while in flight. AirCell and Virgin America will integrate AirCell's broadband service into Virgin's IFE system, AirCell said, noting that the service will be available aboard the entire fleet "sometime in 2008." Starling Advanced Communication recently conducted a test that connected a Boeing 737 to the Internet at 20 megabits per second--nearly 2.5 times the speed of a typical cable connection. The antenna has a 75-centimeter diameter and can be mounted on the plane's fuselage. The testing team was able to conduct typical online business activities as well as participate in video conference calls, make phone calls with Skype and download large files. Sep 12, 2007
