The ever-regenerative Glen E Friedman exhibition Fuck Some More (or whichever clever derivative operative title of his F formula was being used) opened to a huge crowd at Los Angeles' Six Space. Friedman's concern for humanity and his over the top social conscience were both manifest in this strict NO WINE, NO DAIRY, SALT FREE and IMPLANT FREE celebration of all things GEE No one was certain if the rumored anti silicone and petrochemical breast bag edict was on the real or was just an example of the power of bouncers to enforce anti-terrorist body searches. The gallery director Kaaren Coleman deserves credit for both pulling off a top quality frontline space and for surviving the intensity of Friedman for a week. Those seen there included: Little Ice T, Darlene Ortiz, Takuji Masuda, Bob Biniak, Peggy Oki, Elmer Leonard, Polar Bear, Marty Grimes, Cahill, Paul Constantinean, Kirk Gee, Jill Jordan, Melanie Berry, Julie Jacobs, Palfreyman, Vita Dominguez, Jay Smith, Jeff Ho, Greg Escalante, Ren Messer, Sean Clive r, Joey Hawkins, Sarge Sadellis, Barl-E-Bay Ellman, Chuck Dukowski, Jennifer Ballantyne, Ian Rogers, Eric Matthies and Danny Levy. Style empress Maria Minelli brought along a bevy of uber models to boost the octane. ON OCTOBER 10TH, Termite skateboards presented the first skate video for kids. Pest Control: Little Kids...Big Tricks is the title, and it didn't disappoint the crowd of over 600. The lines in front of the Darkhorse compound were growing while people signed up for their goodie bags. All the Termite riders in the video were in attendance to skate, sign posters, and hang out with the crowd. Skate Street brought in a street course that, when coupled with the Grind King mini, was a great time for skaters at all ages and talent levels. Hanna Zanzi and Andrew Rowe tied for first in the best trick contest to cap off the evening's activities, which they swear had nothing to do with the police shutting things down...
