The materials, which are based on aliphatic aliphatic /al·i·phat·ic/ (al?i-fat´ik) pertaining to any member of one of the two major groups of organic compounds, those with a straight or branched chain structure. al·i·phat·ic adj. isocyanates and polyethers, display virtually no yellowing when subjected to long-term exposure to UV light. This means that they can be pigmented with any color, including bright colors. The manufacturer believes that the TPU materials, used together with fancy yarns, will be ideal for hard-wearing, high-quality seating textiles, mainly for the automotive sector, but also for furnishings. Other potential areas of application are for work clothing, protective clothing for motorcyclists and cyclists, and all kinds of protective coverings.
