Transora Launches New Item Introduction Management Solution and Earns GDSN Data Pool Certification.

CHICAGO -- Retailers and Manufacturers Benefit from New Data Synchronization Keeping data in two or more computers up-to-date so that each repository contains the identical information. Data in handheld devices and laptops often require synchronization with the data in a desktop machine or server.  Capabilities

Transora, the industry's leading Data Pool solution, has launched its New Item Introduction Management solution that helps retailers and manufacturers eliminate paper-based new item forms. In addition, the company has successfully achieved Global Data Synchronization Network The Global Data Synchronisation Network™ is an internet-based, interconnected network of interoperable data pools and a global registry (the GS1 Global Registry™) that enable companies around the globe to exchange standardised and synchronised supply chain data with their  (GDSN GDSN Global Data Synchronization Network

This certification authorizes Transora to operate in the GDSN as both a Recipient and Source Data Pool.

Georgia-Pacific Corp. was Transora's first customer to publish a new item hierarchy, using retailer-specific attributes to a retailer. "We are pleased to see Transora continue to provide additional value in data synchronization with its New Item Introduction Management solution," said Kristine Zeman, Director of Sales Technology and eBusiness for Georgia-Pacific's North American North American

Transora expects its retailer customers to begin utilizing the new item introduction solution with their manufacturer supplier base in the coming months. Transora is also participating in the New Item Form Elimination Sub-Team of the GDSN Task Group to ensure its solution is consistent with evolving standards.

Separately, Transora has also achieved GDSN certification for its Recipient and Source Data Pool solutions. The GDSN, which was launched last summer, is a global, Internet-based initiative that allows trading partners to quickly and efficiently synchronize accurate and up-to-date supply chain data. For a Data Pool to be certified, it must demonstrate full interoperability with all other participating Data Pools and the GS1 Global Registry. The GDSN Interoperability Certification process began on October 29, 2004 and was conducted by the Drummond Group Inc. (DGI DGI Direction Générale des Impôts (French: Department of Revenue)

"This certification further solidifies Transora's leadership in the GDSN," said David Hutchings, Senior Director, Global B2B (Business to Business) Refers to one business communicating with or selling to another. See B2B e-commerce, B2C and B2G.

With Transora's production-level interoperability with other certified Data Pools, Transora is able to efficiently exchange supply chain data within the GDSN and ensure that data is compliant, compatible, accurate, and transmitted securely. While overall Data Pool security was not certified, Transora's SysTrust certification ensures our Data Pool solutions are reliable and operate without fault or failure during specified times.

"These achievements enhance the financial benefits we can provide to our customers and break down barriers for participation in the GDSN," said Transora CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
