Transoft Announces Automatic Browser Interface for U/BL and FlexGen Users.

ATLANTA Atlanta (ətlăn`tə, ăt–), city (1990 pop. 394,017), state capital and seat of Fulton co., NW Ga., on the Chattahoochee R. and Peachtree Creek, near the Appalachian foothills; inc. 1847.  -- Transoft, a leader in helping companies evolve new IT solutions from their existing applications, announced two new products for its U/BL and FlexGen customers. UBi - U/BL Browser browser

Interface, and FBi - FlexGen Browser Interface, enable users to immediately make use of a browser interface, without having to re-develop their applications.

Both U/BL and FlexGen have provided a GUI (Graphical User Interface) A graphics-based user interface that incorporates movable windows, icons and a mouse. A browser interface provides 'thin client' deployment options, with no software installed on the user's client-side PC. This reduces hardware costs and software administration costs, and provides new deployment options for existing applications.

Paul Holland Paul Holland (born 8 July 1973 in Lincoln) is a former English footballer, and is currently assistant manager at League Two club Mansfield Town. Holland has previously served as the club's youth team coach, and was appointed caretaker manager following Peter Shirtliff's dismissal , Transoft's chief executive officer commented, "We're extremely excited about the new capabilities we are providing to our U/BL and FlexGen customers. By enabling a browser interface our customers can instantly modernize mod·ern·ize

their applications with a browser look and feel."

The UBi and FBi products allow the application to continue to run with a character interface or a GUI interface, using the Transoft U/Gi product for U/BL and FronTier product for FlexGen. Therefore customers can create hybrid applications providing different interfaces for different users.

Holland continued, "The amazing a·maze

UBi supports all of the U/BL graphical extensions and automatically converts them into dynamic HTML (1) A general term for (HTML pages) Web pages that are customized for each user; for example, returning different values from a search. FBi does the same for the FlexGen GUI and Active X controls. This ensures that every aspect of the existing application is automatically converted to be compatible with the new browser interface.

Transoft expects to start shipping UBi and FBi in early May 2006.
