), the leader in efficient computing technologies, today announced that Ralph J. Harms has joined the executive team as chief financial officer, effective today. Mr. Harms will report to Arthur L. Swift, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Transmeta, and will be responsible for directing all aspects of the company's financial management.

Mr. Harms has more than 25 years experience in financial management and leadership at multiple public and private semiconductor and technology companies. From February 2004 to May 2006 he served as CFO of Force10 Networks, a privately held provider of high performance switching and routing equipment. Before that he served as CFO for Syndeo Corporation, a privately held provider of VoIP software. Between 1989 and 2001 Mr. Harms served as CFO for four Nasdaq-listed public technology companies: Autonomy Corporation, Flycast Communications, ESS Technology and SEEQ SEEQ Student Evaluation of Educational Quality . Earlier in his career, he served on the financial management teams of Intel, Rockwell International and Xerox. Mr. Harms holds a B.S.E.E. degree from Michigan State University Michigan State University, at East Lansing; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1855. It opened in 1857 as Michigan Agricultural College, the first state agricultural college.  and an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan (body, education) University of Michigan - A large cosmopolitan university in the Midwest USA.
