Welcoming: James E. Hubbard of Virginia, to AMERICAN FORESTS' Board of Directors. Hubbard directs the U.S. Department of Interior's Office of Wildfire Coordination. A long-time member of AMERICAN FORESTS, Hubbard is the former state forester/director of the Colorado State Forest The Colorado State Forest is a 71,000 acres (0 km) forest located in Jackson County in the U.S. state of Colorado. Trees in the Colorado State Forest include Engelmann Spruce and Subalpine Fir in areas of higher elevation, and  Service and worked with congressional committees on the 1990 Farm Bill.

Paterson replaces Edgar B. Brannon Jr. after 15 years as director.

Retiring: Eric Oldar, urban forester with the California Division of Forestry. A long-time friend of AMERICAN FORESTS, Oldar served with CDF (1) (Central Distribution Frame) A connecting unit (typically a hub) that acts as a central distribution point to all the nodes in a zone or domain. See MDF.  for 30 years.
