APPOINTED: Craig Bowman, 31, as executive director of the National Youth Advocacy League, June 1. Bowman previously served as executive director of the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League.

AWARDED: The Colin Higgins Courage Award to Greg Congdon, a Troy, Pa., high school football player and gay activist; Steven Cozza, a Petaluma, Calif., Scouting for All Scouting for All is an American advocacy organization. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose stated purpose is to promote tolerance and diversity within the Boy Scouts of America in the face of its policies requiring members to be heterosexual males who believe in God.  cofounder co·found
