The combination of TransNexus' OSP Nexus(TM) Server and the XACCTusage platform will enable VoIP service providers and carriers to securely authenticate (1) To verify (guarantee) the identity of a person or company. This will give them the flexibility to choose whichever billing application best fits their business needs. The combined solution will also allow easy integration with other business support applications, enabling service providers to roll out a wide variety of new, value-added VoIP services quickly and cost effectively.

"XACCTusage, together with XACCTready partners' solutions, brings a major benefit to the burgeoning VoIP marketplace because it frees VoIP service providers from being locked into a single billing application, allowing them to select the best solution both now and as their business demands change," said Lisa Barnaby, director of marketing for TransNexus. "The joint XACCT-TransNexus solution will also reduce deployment time -- essential VoIP services can be implemented faster, enabling providers to keep up with this dynamic market."

XACCTusage captures those raw CDRs from the OSP server, formats them to match the downstream application, and then transmits this network usage information to the appropriate applications, such as billing and customer care. "As VoIP services become widely deployed, carriers are looking to solve the complexities associated with multiple peering agreements. We are very pleased to team up with TransNexus, a pioneer in this space," said Anil Uberoi, senior vice president of product marketing and corporate business development at XACCT.
