Included will be joint demos with Octasic Semiconductor, Agilent Systems and RAD Data Communications RAD Data Communications (also known as "RAD") is a privately held corporation, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, that designs and manufacturers specialized networking equipment. It was founded in 1981 by Zohar Zisapel and his brother, Yehuda. .

On display in the TranSwitch booth, #74058, will be:

--OC-48 rate EoS/SAN fibre channel applications including LCAS/VCAT using an EtherPHAST(TM)-48 Plus mapper-framer.

--Switching of virtually concatenated SONET/SDH traffic using EtherPHAST-48 Plus, VTXP-48 and PHAST-48V.

The SUPERDemo in the Metro Ethernet Forum The Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) was founded in 2002. It is a non-profit international industry consortium, dedicated to worldwide adoption of Carrier Ethernet networks and services.  (MEF) booth (#48085) will show many elements of Carrier Ethernet including guaranteed rate Internet access, circuit emulation, service aware infrastructure, connectivity between businesses, IP-TV, protection, multi-gigabit internet access, VoIP and broadband services convergence. TranSwitch and RAD Data Communications will demonstrate the interoperability of TranSwitch's next-generation PacketTrunk(TM) Circuit Emulation Service over Ethernet (CESoETH) device FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) A type of gate array that is programmed in the field rather than in a semiconductor fab. Containing up to hundreds of thousands of gates, there are a variety of FPGA architectures on the market.  with RAD's next generation CESoETH system prototype.

A joint demonstration will also take place in the Agilent Technologies booth (#32015). Agilent and TranSwitch have collaborated over the past year to perform field EoS demonstrations using the EtherMap-3 device and the Agilent OmniBER. At SUPERCOMM they will highlight OC-48 and RPR (Resilient Packet Ring See RPR. ) capabilities. The platform will combine TranSwitch's EtherPHAST-48 Plus EoS/SAN Mapper-Framer with the Agilent OmniBer and N2X Multi-Services Tester to demonstrate Ethernet over RPR traffic, along with the GPF, VCAT and LCAS LCAS Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (SDH/SONET Virtual Concatenation)
