 Genetics genetics, scientific study of the mechanism of heredity. Behrens said Syngenta is the "new kid on the block" and brings "freedom of choice" to the seed Industry. It has three traits in the marketplace and expects to introduce three new ones in the next two years. Wuhlfkuhle's firm is a partnership owned by Syngenta and DuPont/ Pioneer and began actively licensing those firms' traits and genetic lines last year.
