Trails of the Dime Novel is an unusual Western, about a young man in the late 1800's who set out west to write dramatic stories that would capture the imagination of the reading populace, and found himself living them instead. Mortal peril The designated contingency, risk, or hazard against which an insured seeks to protect himself or herself when purchasing a policy of insurance.

Among the various types of perils for which insurance coverage is available are fire, theft, illness, and death.
