Trading Post: Cher ries form makes Us ripe for lay; sports lay of the day.

Byline: Matthew Williams

Colchester (v Bournemouth) COLCHESTERare worth a lay at around 2.64 in tonight's League One clash with Bournemouth at Layer Road, writes Dan Childs. U's boss Phil Parkinson has described the current injury crisis as the worst he has encountered during his two-year stint at the helm and was delighted when his weakened team chiselled out a 1-1 draw at third-placed Tranmere on Saturday.

However, before getting carried away with Colchester's strength-in-depth, itis worth bearing in mind that Rovers were missing three of their best players - the influential Mark Rankine, Ryan Taylor and Ian Hume.

The Essex club have garnered just one victory in their last nine home clashes, and that is another cause for concern.

P romotion-chasing Bournemouth suffered a dip in form after the festive period but are anticipating a powerful finish to the season after last weekend's 4-0 victory over Oldham.

Sean O'Driscoll's men could also benefit from a level-headed approach. Four Cherries players have received their marching orders in the last three clashes at Colchester.
