Presently, Liu is planning a trade mission for several Sudbury companies to participate in a Mining Expo from Oct. 25 to 28, in China's capital city of Beijing Beijing (bā-jĭng) or Peking (pē-kĭng, pā–), city (1994 est. urban pop. 6,093,300; 1994 est. total pop. 7,240,700), capital of the People's Republic of China. It is in central Hebei prov. .

Liu says there are many mining expos, but the one he is planning on attending is held every second year and offers a valuable opportunity for local operators to promote. He expects there will be well over 200 companies attending, from China and around the world.

"My value or expertise is to tap into the market with the appropriate product and technologies," Liu says.

The focus for this trade mission is on mining and manufacturing equipment, which may include mining communication systems, mineral exploration and mining-related software, quality rebuilt mining equipment and power train parts.

"I see very good potential market in China for this type of product."
