Tractor thieves strike.


POLICE are hunting thieves behind a spate of plant thefts in West Yorkshire West Yorkshire, former metropolitan county, N central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county largely embraced the Leeds conurbation and comprised five metropolitan districts: Calderdale, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, and Kirklees. .

There have been thefts in Huddersfield and in Bradford, with equipment worth tens of thousands of pounds stolen.

Forklifts and tractors - valued between pounds 10,000 and pounds 35,000 -have been taken, with four stolen in the last month.

"I would warn anyone owning such plant to make sure they''re as secure as possible and to contact the police if they see anything suspicious".
