Traceable Long-Stem Thermometer.Control Company's new Traceable[R] Long-Stem Thermometer thermometer, instrument for measuring temperature. Galileo and Sanctorius devised thermometers consisting essentially of a bulb with a tubular projection, the open end of which was immersed in a liquid. is the perfect size to fit into flasks, cuvets, test tubes, and beakers. It reads temperatures in foods, gases, samples, reagents, water baths, and semisolids. The stainless-steel probe is resistant to acids, bases, solvents, and most laboratory chemicals. The long stem allows users to make measurements while stirring solutions in deep vessels. The thermometer displays temperatures from -58 to 482[degrees]F (-50 to 250[degrees]C). Resolution is 0.1[degrees] from -20 to 200[degrees]C (1[degrees] outside this range), and its accuracy is as reliable as [+ or -]0.5[degrees]C between -20 and 120[degrees]C. Readings are updated every second. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Almost unbreakable plastic-and-stainless-steel construction (no glass or mercury) makes the thermometer safe. The brilliant LCD display is 1/4-inch high. The unit is designed for use in all ovens and incubators.
