UALR was scheduled to open Sun Belt Tournament play at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Hot Springs' Summit Arena against the winner of Denver and Louisiana-Monroe. Arkansas State needed an unlikely win at Middle Tennessee to make the men's bracket in Hot Springs. The ASU women at least had a home game March 4 to try and win their way to Hot Springs. UALR's women gained a bye to Hot Springs as the West Division winner, same as the UALR men.

Men's semifinals are at 6:30 and 9 p.m. Monday, March 9, and the final is Tuesday, March 10, at 9 p.m.
