TouchSystems Offers Sub-$1,000 Pricing on MM2000: All-In-One Touch PC Targeted for POS, Kiosk and Light Industrial Markets.

TouchSystems today announced special pricing for their legacy product, MM2000.

Effective through October, MM2000, affectionately known as the wedge, will be offered at $995. MM2000 is a compact, durable, all-in-one touch computer.

Targeted for industrial, medical, POS (1) See point of sale and packet over SONET.

(2) "Parent over shoulder." See digispeak.

 and Kiosk applications, MM2000 is a versatile, reliable and cost-efficient system featuring full multi-media functionality.

"MM2000 is easy to integrate and provides all the ports and data connections you could possibly need for most any industrial or POS application. The $995 system includes an AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips.  K62 366 MHz processor, 11.3 DSTN (1) (Dual-scan STN) An enhanced STN passive matrix LCD display. The screen is divided into halves, and each half is scanned simultaneously, thereby doubling the number of lines refreshed per second and providing a sharper appearance.  LCD, analog resistive touchscreen, 6 Gig Hard drive, 64 MB Ram, a Windows 98 license and more.
