Touch Your World Service Organization to Sponsor First Annual 'Fall Day of Service'.

LAKE MARY, Fla. -- October 16th Event Solicits Volunteers to Assist with Hurricane Recovery Efforts by Several Central Florida Nonprofit Groups

Touch Your World, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group founded to connect funding for school youth projects with their commitment to their local communities' welfare, will conduct its first annual TYW Fall Day of Service on Saturday, October 16th and invites Central Floridians to participate.

TYW, which links school-age youth with community service projects in exchange for program funding, is soliciting participation from both corporate teams and individuals who are interested in doing their part to assist with both storm and non-storm related recovery and improvement projects. For example, volunteers will help the Seminole County Natural Lands Project clean up local bike trails. Others will assist with activities at the Ronald McDonald House in Orange County.

"The purpose behind Touch Your World is to give youth the opportunity to get and give at the same time, and in that effort, to experience a rewarding and sometimes life-changing event," said Steve Bishop, TYW executive director. "This new Fall Day of Service will help complement the other activities by youth that occur year-round and at the same time provide another opportunity for corporations to 'team build' by sponsoring groups of volunteers. Even though the need is greater this year due to the unprecedented storms, this initial effort will be the basis for an annual Day of Service."

For a suggested donation of $200 per team of 10, or $25 per person, volunteers will receive coffee and breakfast items - thanks to the Coffee Cafe, a barbecue dinner sponsored by River City Catering and a commemorative T-shirt.
