) today announced the appointment of Gerry Curry, 48, to the newly created position of Vice President, Quality Management. In her new position, Mrs. Curry will lead Total Renal Care's national Quality Management Program, monitor and report the Company's clinical outcomes and direct TRL's staff education and training programs. TRL's Quality Management Program comprises a team of over 40 professionals that are focused on improving patient outcomes and the quality of care at TRL's dialysis facilities. Mrs. Curry will report to Stan Lindenfeld, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Total Renal Care Holdings, Inc.

Mrs. Curry has a strong background in nephrology nursing, with over 26 years of experience in all aspects and modalities of dialysis, including hemodialysis, home dialysis, acute dialysis and transplantation. She joined TRL's predecessor companies in 1984 as a charge nurse and since then has held a series of management positions at TRL with increasing responsibilities, including facility administrator, Regional Education Director, Divisional Director of CQI and Clinical Review and, since 1995, as the Company's Director of Quality Management.
