Toshiba Announces Company's First Notebooks Featuring 802.11n Technology.

The term originated when laptops were routinely more than 10 pounds, and those that became lighter were placed in a special "notebook" category. Based on the new wireless LAN A local area network that transmits over the air typically in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz unlicensed frequency band. It does not require line of sight between sender and receiver. Wireless base stations (access points) are wired to an Ethernet network and transmit a radio frequency over an area  technology, the 802.11n specification delivers greater bandwidth and transfer speeds up to five times2 faster than the previous 802.11g standard, as well as being advantageous in a variety of network configurations at home and locations such as coffee shops, airports and hotels.

The series has a starting weight of 6.29-lbs6 depending on configuration, and features Toshiba's signature Onyx Blue Metallic LCD lid, as well as an all new attention-grabbing illuminated Satellite badge, which is positioned on the lip of the palm rest. Also, to compliment its widescreen display, the notebooks feature a wider touchpad A stationary pointing device that provides a small, flat surface that you slide your finger over using the same movements as you would a mouse.
