Top Long Island Companies to Present at LI Invest's First Annual Investor Conference on September 23, 2004.

Long Island (LI) Invest, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote economic development on Long Island, today announced the conference agenda for LI Invest 2004, which will be held on September 23, 2004 at the Melville Marriott.

For the first time on Long Island, an independent investor conference will provide a forum for the region's leading public and private companies to present to the investment community. Twenty companies in all -- seventeen public and three private -- will be represented by their Chief Executive or Chief Financial Officers at LI Invest 2004. Among the presenting companies, there are eight of Long Island's "Elite 25" and fourteen of the "Top 100 Companies" in Newsday's "Top Local Companies" index. The public companies have a total average market capitalization over $3 billion.

A View From The Street - Luncheon Presentation with Top Wall Street Analysts

LI Invest has planned a white glove lunch for conference attendees. During the lunch, a diversified panel of securities analysts covering industries reflective of the presenting companies at LI Invest 2004 will present their perspectives in, "A View From The Street: Hear What Top Wall Street Analysts Are Saying." Lunch panelists include Dr. Reni Benjamin, Senior Biotechnology Analyst at Rodman and Renshaw; Robert Maire, Principal Semiconductor Analyst at Needham & Company; James McIlree, Vice President and Defense and Diversified Technology Analyst at C.E. Unterberg Towbin; and Jacqueline Reeves, Managing Director and Banking Analyst at Ryan Beck & Co.

Warren Strugatch, journalist, author and independent business analyst, will moderate the panel of investment analysts. Since June 2000, Mr. Strugatch has written a weekly column for The New York Times, "Long Island at Work," covering a broad range of regional business and economic topics.
