Top Layer Security Appoints Jim Williams as VP of Worldwide Sales.


Increased Global Demand for Intrusion Prevention Solutions Spurs Rapid Corporate Growth and Market Expansion

WESTBORO, Mass. -- Top Layer Security, the leading global provider of Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), today announced that Jim Williams has been named vice president of worldwide sales. In this role, Williams will lead the company's efforts to address the growing global demand for intrusion prevention solutions.

Jim brings to Top Layer over 30 years of exceptional sales and marketing achievements with several leading hi-tech firms. Prior to joining Top Layer, Jim was vice president and general manager of North America sales and marketing for 3Com. Prior to 3Com, Jim was the senior vice president of sales at Nuvo Network Management, where he led direct and indirect sales growth in the managed services enterprise space. Prior to Nuvo, he was the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Vanguard Managed Solutions. Jim has also held a number of senior sales and marketing positions at Motorola and Stratus Computer. At Motorola, Jim held key sales management positions, including vice president of North America channel sales and vice president of worldwide sales for the company's Multiservices Networking Division.
